Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how TrafficSigma uses cookies and similar technologies on trafficsigma.com and within our platform, what each category does, and how you can control them. It supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage, pixels, and SDK identifiers, which serve comparable purposes. In this Policy we refer to all of them as "cookies".
First-party cookies are set by trafficsigma.com. Third-party cookies are set by another domain. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
2. How we ask for consent
On your first visit we show a consent banner that offers, with equal prominence and in a single click, Accept all and Reject all, plus Manage preferences for granular, per-category control. Non-essential cookies default to off and are not set until you opt in. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent and cannot be switched off, because the site cannot function without them.
Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie so we can honour it on later visits and evidence it if asked. We re-ask for consent when our cookie practices change materially, and in any event after a reasonable period.
3. Categories of cookies we use
| Category | What it does and whether consent is needed |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps the site working: session handling, sign-in state, load balancing, security and abuse prevention, and remembering your cookie choice. Always on; no consent required. |
| Analytics | Helps us understand aggregate usage - which pages are visited, where errors occur, how features perform - so we can improve the product. Set only with your consent. |
| Marketing | Supports measurement of our own marketing, such as attributing a sign-up to the campaign that produced it. Set only with your consent. |
A current, itemised list of the individual cookies in each category - including provider, purpose, and duration - is maintained here: [ITEMISED COOKIE TABLE TO BE COMPLETED FROM A TECHNICAL COOKIE AUDIT BEFORE PUBLICATION.] Where a cookie inventory and this Policy differ, the inventory reflects what is actually set.
4. Global Privacy Control and other opt-out signals
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where your browser transmits GPC and you have not already made an explicit choice, we automatically opt you out of all non-essential cookies and treat the signal as a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal data and of targeted advertising where applicable law so requires. You can still open the preference centre to make a different choice.
5. How to change or withdraw your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, and it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give:
- Use the "Your Privacy Choices" control in the footer of any page, which reopens the preference centre.
- Or clear cookies for trafficsigma.com in your browser, which resets your choice and re-presents the banner.
- Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies generally. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
6. Advertising cookies and end users of publisher inventory
This Policy covers cookies set on our own website and platform. Ad delivery on publisher inventory is a separate matter: where advertising served through the TrafficSigma network involves cookies or identifiers on an end user’s device, the publisher and the advertiser are responsible for the notices and consents required in the relevant jurisdiction, as set out in the Publisher Terms and the Advertising Agreement.
7. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Our consent-record cookie persists for a limited period so that we do not re-prompt you on every visit and can demonstrate the choice you made. Other persistent cookies have the durations shown in the cookie inventory referenced in Section 3.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in legal requirements. Material changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where they affect the cookies we set, by re-requesting your consent.
